This home is 12.7 miles from the Tryon International Equestrian Center (TIEC), 13 miles from the beach at Lake Lure, and 14.3 miles from Chimney Rock State Park. You are also welcome to bring your boat (contact us for size limitations, regulations, etc.); the Lake Adger, a public access site, is a half-mile from the home. The lake is 438 acres with 14 miles of pristine shoreline and offers great fishing. On a historical note, it is the birthplace of the legendary Jazz singer, pianist, and songwriter Nina Simone. A statue and plaza in town honor her memory. If you enjoy scenic drives, head out of Lake Lure on Alt 74 (curvy and scenic Memorial Highway) through Chimney Rock Village, Bat Cave, Gerton, Fairview, toward Asheville to pick up what many consider the most beautiful length of road in this country, the Blue Ridge Parkway. If you have not traveled this stretch of road, it is something to add to your bucket list.
