MOUNTAIN VIEWS ~ INTERNET ACCESS ~ PET-FRIENDLY ~ WALKING DISTANCE TO CHIMNEY ROCK VILLAGE
Location, Location, Location
The front porch offers a direct view of Chimney Rock, the iconic feature of Chimney Rock State Park. The chimney was featured in Arthur Frommer's Sept/Oct 2012 issue of Budget Travel magazine, and the park received the platinum award for Favorite State Park in Blue Ridge Country's 2013 Best of the Mountains travel poll, with voting every five years and covering seven southern states in the Appalachian Mountains.
This home is 2/10 miles from Chimney Rock State Park, 1.7 miles to the Beach at Lake Lure, and 20.1 miles to the Tryon International Equestrian Center (TIEC).
The entrance to the park is just two blocks from this home. The restaurants and quaint shops of Chimney Rock Village are just around the block. You can even hear the sounds of the picturesque, trout-filled Rocky Broad at the home. There are plenty of places to fish at the river and a boardwalk to enjoy the beauty.
If you enjoy scenic drives, head out of Chimney Rock Village on the curvy, scenic Alt US-74 (Memorial Highway). This stretch of highway in the Hickory Nut Gorge has 14 hairpin turns and runs through Bat Cave, Gerton, and Fairview. Continue toward Asheville to pick up what many consider the most beautiful length of road in this country, the Blue Ridge Parkway. It will add to your bucket list if you have not traveled any stretch of this road. Actor Norman Reedus of The Boondock Saints and The Walking Dead featured the parkway on a 2016 episode of his AMC TV series Ride with Norman (Appalachia: Blue Ridge Parkway, Season 1, Episode 3). Just 1.25 hours from home and five miles off the parkway is Maggie Valley, home to the Wheels Through Time transportation museum, which features rare American motorcycles, memorabilia, and a distinctive array of one-off American automobiles.
This home also boasts a small, attached garage. The garage, along with paved roads in the area, proximity to the curves of Memorial Highway, and the beauty of the Blue Ridge Parkway, make this home perfect for motorcycle riders.

What this home offers
What our guests say

We had a very good experience in renting the Chimney View home located in Chimney Rock Village. The renting experience online was easy and went well. The emails before check in were clear and explanatory, check in was a breeze. When we had a question about the garage, Carolina Properties responded quickly and our problem was solved. The property was well maintained; the home neat, clean, with labeling that was helpful. Our experience with Carolina Properties went well and we would certainly love to do business with them again.
Great location and peaceful
I stayed at this lovely house in Chimney Rock, NC, and it was everything you’d hope for in a mountain getaway. The inside felt like a quintessential mountain cabin — cozy, charming, and thoughtfully done. The view from the porch was absolutely breathtaking, with a perfect view of Chimney Rock itself, and the peaceful sound of the river below made it even more magical. I brought my two dogs, and they loved it just as much as I did. Truly a serene and beautiful spot — I can’t wait to come back!
