Bluegill Lakehouse is a fantastically remodeled Lake Lure lakefront home with a modern touch and a well-appointed interior. It is ideal for a romantic getaway or just a quiet, peaceful escape. This home is 1.7 miles to the Beach at Lake Lure, 2.5 miles to the Chimney Rock State Park entrance, and 17 miles to the Tryon International Equestrian Center (TIEC), home to this year's World Equestrian Games!

Upon entering, there is a wonderfully crisp, clean feel as you walk through a nice living area and kitchen that open to a large covered screened porch with a dining table and beautiful lake views!

There is a king-size bed in one bedroom and two queen beds in the second bedroom. There is a full bath off the living area between the two bedrooms. The lower level offers another full bath and bedroom with two bunks, with a twin on top and a full on the bottom!

The lakeside dock is a great place to sit and dangle your feet in the water, or to bring your boat for use on the lake (contact Lake Lure for boating regulations and permits). This home does have a canoe and two kayaks for your use.

This home is perfect for every season. The bushes and trees on the shady, wooded lot and along the long drive will begin to fill with leaves in spring. Summer weather in the area is great most of the time. Autumn brings plenty of visitors to the area for the extraordinary colors. They are even more beautiful when reflected on the lake. With the absence of leaves on the trees in winter, you will see entirely new landscapes. Enjoy the warmth of the outdoor heat lamp during the colder months.

Conveniently Located
Bluegill Lakehouse overlooks Lake Lure and offers access to It, ranked by National Geographic Magazine as one of the top scenic lakes in the world. Lake Lure Beach is just a few minutes from the home. Several excellent golf courses are nearby, including Apple Valley Golf Course, Bald Mountain Golf Course, and Etowah Valley Country Club and Golf Resort, which Golf Digest rated as one of the top 50 golf destinations in the US.

This beautiful home is centrally located, just 6 minutes from Chimney Rock Village and State Park. The iconic Chimney Rock (for which the area was named) was featured in Arthur Frommer`s Sept/Oct 2012 issue of Budget Travel magazine. The park received the platinum award for Favorite State Park in Blue Ridge Country’s 2013 Best of the Mountains travel poll, with voting every five years and covering seven southern states in the Appalachian Mountains.

It is only 15 minutes from Bat Cave, 35 minutes from Hendersonville, 50 minutes from Asheville, and about 2 hours from Charlotte, North Carolina. Also nearby are Pisgah National Forest (less than 1 hour from Lake Lure), with over 500,000 acres of protected forest, and DuPont State Recreational Forest (1.25 hours from Lake Lure), with over 10,000 acres. These forests feature hundreds of miles of hiking, biking, horse trails, exquisite waterfalls, and beautiful mountaintop views. If you and/or your children are fans of The Hunger Games book and movie, a scene with Katniss and Gale was shot at the Pisgah National Forest. A few small but significant scenes were also filmed at the DuPont State Recreational Forest.

The Lake Lure/Chimney Rock area is conveniently situated for outdoor adventure, including horseback riding, tubing, water sports, hiking, museums, and theater, the Biltmore Estate and Village, shopping and restaurants, and so much more.
